The most important news we have this month is that Jason has become a father! We are delighted to welcome Baby Lily to the diamond crew. Apparently Mum and Baby are doing fine – and Jason is exhausted!

This morning (08/12/09), our MD Kate received an invitation to a new company launch. Hooray, you might say but when reading the letter it showed the launch happened on the 4^th June 09. This makes this letter 6 months late. If this company had assigned Diamond Logistics to deliver, the recipient would have it next day at the latest or even that very same day. So if it has to be there you know who to trust!

Guildford Heat Basketball Team Update

Were you there at the Spectrum on Sat 5^th Dec? If not, why not?

Needless to say the game was fierce and well played by both the Heat and the Sheffield Sharks.

Unfortunately Heat’s unbeaten home record was broken. We lost by a mere 11 points with a final score of 86 -97, which was a good result as the Sharks are top of the league.

Come along to the next game 20/12/09 against Plymouth Raiders – It’s the hottest entertainment in Surrey!

Surrey Office Star - and the winner is…

Sue Day from Kingstons, Guildford

Sue was crowned Surrey Office Star Secretary of the year 2009, at a glittering event held at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on 9th July. She has worked at the commercial property consultancy for 6 years and impressed the judges with her enthusiasm, loyalty and commitment to her job. As well as picking up her winners trophy, Sue also won an overnight stay for 2 at Champneys Forest Mere!

Sue said of her win “I was honoured and very proud to be crowned Surrey Office Star of 2009. I was delighted to hear that I’d been selected as one of the finalists, but to actually win the competition was incredible.”

Her nominator, boss Derek Corden said “Sue thoroughly deserves the title of Surrey Office Star. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Her work is exemplary and is completely dedicated to her job. I am so pleased that she has gained this recognition for being such a star.”
